Auckland Unitary Plan: Mixed Housing Urban Zone
This video covers the Mixed Housing Urban Zone. In my opinion, this is one of the most flexible zones.
It covers around 30% of the Auckland region and is located on the outskirts of the metropolitan areas. It’s close to the Terraced House and Apartment Building Zone and public transport.
There are no housing limits in this zone which allows for low-rise apartments.

- What type of typology do I want to build?
- Where do I want to build?
The Mixed Housing Urban Zone allows you to build a range of typologies from apartments to single houses.
There are great developing opportunities under this zone.
